In marathon swimming news, Steve Sutton & Steven Munatones pioneer a 24k swim along the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Ian Grimmer adds his name to the ranks of Triple Crowners, Jaime Lomelin becomes the fastest Mexican to complete the Kaiwi Channel, and a new film depicts the life and times of Mercedes Gleitze, the first British woman to complete the English Channel. 

In racing news, Ryan Bullock & Beth Margalis win the Huntington Beach Pier Swim, Hungary prepares to host the FINA Open Water World Championships in Lake Lupa, Norway hosted the Svalbard Ice Swimming Adventures & New Zeland prepares to host the Ice National Championships. 

Also, Outdoor Swimming Society Founder Kate Rew authors a new book, The Outdoor Swimmers' Handbook, The International Ocean Film Festival releases Robert Fonollosa's film INTO THE BLUE: The Wonders of the Coral Triangle, and legendary head of Swimming World Magazine and The International Swimming Hall of Fame, Brent Rutemiller, announces his retirement
