Lake Zürich Marathon 2026

Report from participant Vasanti Niemz (IMSHOF Honoree)

So grateful I was able to start at all, with lighting at the start, and after finding a selfless kajaker for the first 14,5k until Meilen only last minute: fellow EC and Lake Zurich soloist Tom Rutter, living in Meilen (thanks to Martyn Webster reaching out! OW swim family!)! With his own inflatable kajak which he allowed us to use also for the second part - and he even came with his whole familiy to enjoy the finish atmosphere and pick his kajak up again - after my 12 hour 08 swim.
