The event confirmed the steady growth of ice swimming across Europe, featuring athletes aged from 13 to 88, exceptionally high safety standards, and an organizational model widely recognized as a reference for future international competitions. Italy fielded the largest delegation at the Championships and achieved strong results in both OPEN and AGE GROUP categories, highlighting the depth and development of the national ice swimming movement.
Building on the successful legacy of the previous World Championships held in Molveno, the European event further improved organizational standards and was attended by observers from European Aquatics, as part of the ongoing process toward ice swimming becoming a future Olympic demonstration sport.
